Baxter and Cooper...agility title winners!!
Together with Nancy and Whitney, these two corgis are excelling in agility...the ladies have
put in a lot of time training their dogs and would love them whether they were good at agility
or not...however,  these two dogs do their level best for their moms!
I receive updates frequently from Nancy and Whitney regarding these two sons of  Chaps
and Scandal (littermates), and I am so proud of them I could not resist sharing some of their
email comments and pictures.

Update...Cooper is a hero, chasing a coyote from the
pasture where the chickens were at the time!
I enjoy frequent emails from both ladies
keeping me informed of their training and
accomplishments and expressing their
love for these two great little dogs!
We are very proud of Cooper and
Baxter, as well as Whitney and Nancy,
who have spent countless hours training
them!
Another email from Whitney!...Cooper has earned agility titles in
Novice and Standard!
Great job, and congratulations to both of you!

Nationals...50 dogs were entered!!!
Looks to me like he is saying,  "OK
Whitney, I will wear it for you!" Just
another day's work.
Whitney called to tell me some things about Cooper that she was so proud of!  He amazes
her
with his intelligence.  She said he is a barker, if he wants her attention.  One day, he came to
her barking and would not let it go.  He was acting like he wanted her to follow and he took
her
to a kitten that was very close to a rattle snake.

At a recent show, he did not jump high enough on the A frame and did not have to
momentum to
take him over the top...he stayed on the steep incline and clawed his way to the top...they
did not
win the class, but his determination to finish his task, made it the highlight of the show for
her, even though winning other classes.
Nancy, Whitney and I agree that Baxter takes after Chaps in looks, with a slim, athletic
physique while Coop is longer backed and much heavier.  Scandal also has a fuller coat
as does
Cooper, and Baxter's is more sleek.  Whitney says, " though they look quite different in
color and shape, they both have THE BEST temperament!!!  "We love our boys!!!"
:)
Email from Nancy:
"Hi, Just a quick update on how well my guy is doing!  We entered an ASCA show this
weekend (first for my Aussie) and Baxter was entered in Novice because he had not
shown in that club before.  He CLEANED house!  Got ten perfect runs out of ten!
So...he got top Novice dog in the trial, a huge rosette and an inscribed wooden plaque
with a space for his picture.  Just thought I would share my brag with you!!  My trainer
says she doesn't normally
like Corgis, but loves Cooper and Baxter, so wanted your website so I passed it on.
Always good to have top trainers (and she is one of the best) recommending your dogs."

Hi Lu,
I thought you might enjoy seeing this page from the Goleta Valley Dog Club website.  I contributed a
"show report" of our National adventure which you might enjoy reading.  There are also a few photos from
the finals that a friend took of us (check out the photo section as well as the main page).  I hope you have
fun looking at the page.  Let me know what you think...

Cooper and I send our best wishes to you and your family for a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Fondly,
Whitney
