Our Extended Corgi Family!
Placing puppies in good homes is a priority, and we are blessed to have
made some very good friends along the way!  We have sent many very
lucky puppies on to new homes that love them and have made them
special members of their families.  We thank everyone who has opened
their homes to one of our puppies...we have wonderful corgi family
members across the United States.

Greenwood's Over The Rainbow "Cooper" is owned by
Whitney G. in Santa Ynez, CA.  Nancy contacted me, looking for an
agility prospect and little m-3 was that only puppy I had left from the litter
of Chaps and Scandal .  I told her about Nancy and Baxter...Nancy was
kind enough to give a fine recommendation, and it turned out they lived a
drivable distance from each other.  They are now good friends and have
gone through
puppy classes and agility classes together.  The attend some of the same
shows, so these brothers have grown up
together..   "Cooper" has stolen Whitney's heart, and she has spent many
hours training him for agility.  They have become partners as well as best
friends and Cooper does his best to please her in the agility show ring.
This handsome guy is "Rudy", adoped by  Jill and family.  He is a son of Chaps and CH
LS Alan Jackson (littermate to Greenwood's Charm Isa Belle).  He is a laid back kinda guy,
and has it made in a beautiful home in KY, with a family that loves him very much.  They
have also adopted
Winnie, out of Cookie and Scandal.  A pretty puppy that owns the
house.
Black Ty  Affair...beautiful...
Posing to perfection!
This is Sammys Dancing Chaps...aka
"KC"
a friend and companion of my grandkids,
Sammy and Chance.   Casey was their
Christmas present a few years ago.  He
comes to visit his corgi family at Greenwood
frequently, and often, if the kids stay at
Grandma and Grandpa's, so does KC!
Mardi Gras by Candlelight
"Mardi" out of Rosie and
"KC" (above).  Mardi lives
with my nephew, Dustin and
his wife Char.  She is smart
and just a bit "pampered".
"Sophie", a puppy of Mardi and
Scandal she is a friend of Amy, and we
get frequent updates...she has been the
"star" pupil in her kindergarten puppy
class, and is friendly to all the other
dogs and puppies in the class.
We will be adding more
information of our corgi puppies
and thier families.  Check back
for updates.
Friend of Kitleigh, CA
Abby doesn't seem as interested in the
bridge as Kitleigh.
Abby's always ready to play...a stick is
as good as any toy!
Abby is a daughter of Leah and Scandal.  She and
her friend Kitleigh spend a lot of time together going
for walks, training and playing together.  Abby has
earned her Canine Good Citizen Award and they are
now thinking about obedience, agility and herding.
Kitleigh writes, "Abby had a herding instinct test this
summer and did very well.  The trainer said she was
a "great little dog."  All of the other dogs were
Aussies and Border Collies and we were pretty
much ingnored by everyone until they saw her in the
ring.  She was one of the most enthusiastic, go-getter
dogs there, and by the time they were out of the ring,
all of the tall-dog guardians were interested in
meeting us.  Abby loved it and was walking on air for
two days afterwards!"
Kitleigh contacted us about a puppy after meeting Baxter at
an agility trial. She was open to either a male or a female,
but wanted one that had a middle of the road
temperament... energetic, but not overly so,  laid back, but
not lazy.
Kitleigh says that she has the personality she was hoping for
and that Abby is popular and makes friends everywhere
they go.  A sweet and welcoming girl.
"Libby"
and friend, Michael
(MN)
Libby is also a daughter of Leah and
Scandal, born 10/24/03.  Her friend
Michael writes:  Libby is my loving and
wonderful puppy.  She is highly social and
thoroughly enjoys outdoor activities.  She
is my companion for life...she loves fishing
from my boat and canoeing in in Canada
and the MN Boundry Waters.  She has
intelligence beyond belief and has
probably trained me to some extent.
Libby...totally content to be with Michael and
relaxing after a long day fishing and canoeing
A frame sent to me from Joelyn and "Eleanor" in TN,
portraying a family of corgis.  This sits on the desk in
my kennel office, with a picture of Eleanor as a puppy
and her mom and dad, Lexie and Scandal.  I love the
frame and thank Joelyn for her generosity.
Joelyn has become a good friend, and we have horses in
common as well as loving corgis.  Joelyn rides dressage,
which is a riding discipline that is fascinating to watch.
She has two of our corgi puppies...the first
Eleanor,
born 2/04 (named after Eleanor Roosevelt), then later
Maryn, born 4/04 out of Leah and Scandal.  Joelyn
stays in contact with me, and frequently checks out the
puppies on my website, as happy as I am when they find
good homes.
Camping with a canine friend and
comfortable bed provided by Michael.
Jill emailed..."Rudy is a blessing:  He is
a genius as well.  He can sit, stay,
come and all on hand commands.  He
retrieves, he does"over" on command,
he can "find it", he can stay whild I
walk into the other room for a few
minutes.  He learned to "shake" in 5
minutes.  He is the perfect gentleman in
the house.  Housetraining has never
been an issue.
Tell Chaps she raised the "perfect son"!
Greenwood's Full Throttle ..."Baxter"
A note from Ian in IA;  My name is Ian M, and two Thanksgivings ago, my girlfriend Angela and I purchased a puppy
from you.  "
Lucy"  was an offspring of Rosie and KC.  We wanted to thank you again for her, she is such a great dog!
Lucy immediately was loved by everyone she met and she reciprocated those feelings as well.  She picked up potty
training in less than two weeks, and has since learned numerous tricks.  Lucy loves to go for car rides and walks, and her
little butt shakes as soon as she learns she will be going on one.  She gets along well with all people and all types of dogs.
She even made a dog lover out of Angela's mom, who was scared of dogs before Lucy.  Lucy is currently learning frisbee,
and is getting to think that she is quite the watchdog.  We love Lucy so much and couldn't imagine getting a better dog.
We just wanted to thank you again for Lucy!
Notes like these from the families that have our puppies just make me
smile!  It is so rewarding for me, hearing about the love these little dogs
bring to people.
Lucy was born October1, 03
For his first birthday, Rudy got to go to
PetSmart to choose his own birthday
presents...everyone was along, even
"Winnie" (in the shopping cart)!
We became very good friends with
Ashley and Justin in CA.  They got a
puppy, "Lilie" out of Rosie and KC.
Lilie was killed in an accident which
devastated A and J. The grace of God
helped them through it, and Rosie gave
birth to new puppies, out of the same
dad,  about the same time as the
accident.
"Gracie" is the new puppy
that filled their hearts with love   The
family has since moved to Texas and
Gracie enjoys swimming in the pool.
Good way to keep cool in hot TX
summers.
Above...Lucy's first Christmas
Christian, Seattle, WA, came to
MN for Christmas and took his
puppy on the plane with him
home.  His name is
Dope
Dawg.
.I thought an unusual
name, but Christian explained...
"dope" is a snowboarder term
that means anything cool or
good or fun...if someone says
you have a "dope" snowboard,
well that's a good thing.  Other
people call him "The Low
Rider" because of his short legs.
Dope is an extremely well-behaved dog and loves everybody.  We spend most of our time in Whistler, BC where in
the summer he loves running up and down the ski slopes.  In the winter he digs and bounds through snowdrifts and
never seems to get cold.  He has never had an aggressive moment in his life and I don't worry about introducing him to
anyone or anything.  He spent a softball game last week rolling around on the ground licking a 20 year old kid named
Jeffrey.  He is still very good about being in his kennel and in fact uses it to take refuge from the vacuum cleaner and
when he is tired of being brushed.  He loves playing tug of war and never tires of playing fetch.  As it gets colder in
Whistler, he is also tending to steal people's warm places on the couch as soon as they get up!  He is a big hit among
houseguests and seasonal visitors.  He never lacks for people to watch him or take him for walks.
Lazy Dope...
Ready to play fetch!
Rosie... Charles and Sandra, CT, felt it was time for
another Corgi.  They had one previously that lived a long
life with them.  They chose a girl out of Rosie and
Uptown.
When they got their puppy, they emailed..."She is -
SPECTACULAR, BEAUTIFUL!  She cuddled with Sandra
all the way home from the airport and is now following me
everywhere!"
A recent picture and update from them, assures that they are
still loving their smart looking girl...the photo was taken by a
student at Yale, where Charles is a Professor, and Rosie
spends a lot of time there also...(no wonder she looks so
smart!)
"Lilie"
"Wilson"...Leah x Scandal
This is Wilson and Mary Kate in Minnesota...they
are great pals and he adores her...I am not sure if
they are watching neighbor kids playing outside, or
waiting for Daddy to come home, but whatever
they do, they do
it together.  Mary Kate is growing up with a very
loyal companion and playmate!
Whether she is looking for a snack for herself, or a treat for
Wilson,  I think he is appreciating it! Mom better be on her toes
with this pair!
"Wrangler"

Rudy and Celia
Nancy N. of CA came to Greenwood acres and picked her puppy...an agility prospect as well as friend and companion.
She chose Baxter due to his outgoing personality....the start of a wonderful relationship.  Nancy has done a great job of
training Baxter, and has stayed in touch along the way with his accomplishments.  We have become friends and I enjoy
hearing how much she loves her little corgi.  He is a family member, partner and best friend and my puppy could not have
gone to a better home!

Meet Earl... Sable son of Sassy and Scandal!
2006
Earl was one of our corgi teens in 2006.  My sister stayed here and cared for our dogs and
puppies so we could go on a vacation.  She had her eye on him and liked the way he would sit and
watch everything she did.  She was recently retired and decided she needed a dog to keep them
company.
Of course, she had to get her husband, Nick's approval...She felt the best way was to just take him
home and introduce them.  It worked, and Earl has a
very special home! He goes for walks with
Anita and all the kids in the neighborhood like to pet him.  Nick plays ball with him and fetches the
balls from under the couch :)...let me tell you, this dog has them figured out!
This picture was taken at our daughter's
ranch in ND...Dec, 2006.  We went
for a walk in the pasture.

Yvonne says he was a
great little dog.

his Michigan home. He was a Lexie x
Scandal puppy.

Uptown Attitude born  5/22/06
Cleo's F-1 puppy has gone to live in her new home
in Mallorca, Spain with Biscotte.

She had a nice roomy kennel and a large blanket to lay
on and Biscotte emailed that she did not mess her kennel
at all on the trip...I knew she would try, but  17 hours is
a long time!  I had been putting her in her kennel a
couple of hour a day and taking her for walks on a leash.

F3 has gone to a new home in MPLS, MN
with Barb, Laurie and family...
a family of her very own!
New Home for Earl!
My sister, Anita, fell in love with this
puppy when she stayed to take care
of the dogs and puppies while we
went on vacation this summer.

She went with me for a week to stay
with my grandkids on a ranch in ND
and we took this guy along.  He was
sooo good, and, although he took
over AJ's,
(the ranch blue heeler) bed in the
entry way, he was a perfectly well
behaved gentleman.   She calls him
Earl and took him home with her.  He
has won
over Anita's husband, Nick, and they
now have a "kid" in the house.  He and
Anita go for walks in the park behind
their house everyday.  He likes to lay
in the house where he can be near
them.
Belle's F-2
"Shannon"
This little guy now lives with Yvonne, Doug and Jadyn...also another corgi named Libby.  Yvonne
had emailed me about the puppy, and her husband intercepted my reply and bought him for her as a
surprise.  She called me that evening to let me know she was
very surprised and elated with her new
puppy!   Tucker can't be replaced, but she has room in her heart for this little guy.
The fluffy girl has a new home with Tina, Mark and family in MN.  They have
another Greenwood Corgi named "Mocha", a sable corgi out of Lil, who is
looking forward to a new friend to play with.
